AMENDING CHAPTER 14,

HOUSING AND BUILDING CODE

On a motion made by Joe Arnzen and seconded by Linda Arnzen, Chapter 14, Housing and Building Code will be amended as follows:

14.32 Penalty. Any person who violates the provisions of the Housing and Building Code, including failure to obtain a required permit, shall be subject to a penalty as may be set forth by the Council by resolution.

Public Notice: County Ditches # 33 and # 2.

Notice is given by means of this legal newspaper that a public hearing will be held on Monday September 22nd, 2008 at the American Legion, located at 714 Commerce Rd, Long Prairie, at 7pm.

This notice is given for a similar reason to that under Minnesota Statutes 103E.351 which requires notice to be given for three consecutive weeks before a hearing date.

This hearing is with regards to the re-determination of benefits for parts of County Ditch # 33 and County Ditch # 2, and the eventual combining of the two ditches into one. During this re-determination some parcels have been added to the benefiting tracts of these ditch systems. All landowners concerned are welcome and encouraged to attend this hearing at which the County Commissioners, attorney representing the county, Minnesota Viewers who completed the re-determination, County Auditor and the County Ditch Inspector will be present. During this meeting you will be given an overview of which parcels were re-determined (added/changed) and why this was done. There will be a time for asking questions and discussion on the matter.

After this hearing has taken place the re-determination will either be accepted or declined by the Drainage Authority (County Commissioners), this may be done at the hearing or during the next County Board meeting on September 30th, 2008.
