Minutes of the regular meeting of Upsala Area Schools, Independent School District No. 487, held on July 17th, 2024. Present were Chairperson Peterson, along with board members Harren, Klein, Wensmann, and Klasen. Also present from the district were Superintendent Capelle, Principal Klug, AD & Business Manager Zimmerman, and Building & Grounds Manager Harren. The meeting was called to order at 7:28pm by Chairperson Peterson.
1. Motion to approve agenda. M.C.U.
2. Motion to approve bills, journal entries, and cash balances as presented. M.C.U.
3. Administrator reports were received (Superintendent, Principal, Activities Director, Building Manager).
4. Committee updates were received.
5. Motion to approve Consent Agenda as presented. M.C.U.
6. Motion to approve the Tier 4 teaching contract for Audrey Schleper for the 2024-25 school year. M.C.U.
7. Motion to adopt the School Board Resolution to Adopt the School District’s FY26 Long-Term Facilities Maintenance Ten-Year Plan. M.C.U.
8. Motion to adopt the Resolution Calling for the General Election of School Board Members on November 5th, 2024. M.C.U.
9. Motion to adopt the Resolution Calling for a Special Election of a School Board Member on November 5th, 2024. M.C.U.
